Welcome to the Addlestone Project
I love it when a client finally sees their dream come to life. In this case, it was all about embracing the colour red—but how to use it? How much? The indecision had led to years of inaction, leaving them with a flat, grey, soulless room, an unusable fireplace, and dated furniture and accessories.
Jeff is a Data Centre Manager for a well known TV cable company and spends all day on Teams call when he is not travelling to the NOC Centres. He didn’t have the time or energy to tackle this space himself - yet spent his evenings in here and often in his coat where it is on the chilly side!
With a renovation budget of £7K, I was thrilled to help bring their vision to life. This space, where my client Jeff loves to watch movies and big sporting events, naturally lent itself to a more masculine feel. Now, it’s a warm, cosy, and inviting retreat. We’ve layered in treasured, sentimental pieces, kept the much-loved leather sofas, updated the lighting, and added a faux chimney breast to house a sleek, modern fireplace. The result? A space that finally reflects Jeff’s style, personality, and long-held dream.
